Key developments included the delivery of the
door the previous day, as well as the completion of significant construction
milestones. The walls of the toilet building were fully plastered on both the
inside and outside, and the roof timbers had been successfully installed.
Additionally, the three toilet pit plates had dried completely. However, it was
noted that the pit had accumulated a substantial amount of rainwater, which
would need to be addressed soon to avoid delays in the pit work.
During the site review, the mason highlighted a few issues that needed attention. He noted that the bolts delivered on Sunday were too long and would need to be replaced with 4.5-inch bolts. He also requested red cement powder to mix with the cement for the toilet floor. In addition, the mason inquired about the delivery of the spotting pan. We informed him that we would visit Jaffna town to purchase the spotting pan and deliver it, along with the other required items, upon our return.
