Visit-Excavation of Pit

The team arrived at the BN004 site in Ponnalai, where masons and JCB workers were already present. Before beginning any work, a small pooja was performed to seek blessings for smooth and uninterrupted progress. With the ritual complete, the team was ready to commence the first phase of construction: excavating the toilet pit. After having previously assessed the site it had been decided that the Chain JCB would be the most suitable machine for the task.
