Today, the BN001 family contacted us from outside our residence, requesting an immediate meeting. We informed them that we were on our way to town and were therefore unavailable to meet at that time.
As discussed during our previous meeting on 17th June 2025, we had clearly communicated that, due to a prolonged lack of communication and lack of progress from their side, we had reasonably assumed they no longer wished to proceed with the project. In the meantime, our limited resources had been reallocated to other families who were ready and able to move forward.
While this position had already been clearly conveyed, the BN001 family informed us today that they had now completed the digging of the toilet pit and foundation, and asked whether construction could begin. We reiterated that at no point during the 17th June meeting had we advised them to proceed with digging, as by that time our resources had already been allocated elsewhere.
Given that no prior agreement or go-ahead had been given for further site preparation, and that no new resources are currently available, we did not consider a further meeting necessary at this stage.
We remain open to future engagement should the family wish to reinitiate contact with a clear plan and timeline, and provided that resources become available. For now, however, the project remains on hold.
