We had a meeting with Ms. Kavitha, the District Secretary at Chankanai, to discuss the Chartered Engineer fees required for the toilet building application with the Pradeshiya Sabhai for BN007. We sought her opinion on the matter, and she agreed that the cost was quite excessive. She confirmed that while reasonable fees for administrative work and site visits are acceptable, the current charges were too high.
Ms. Kavitha also countersigned the letter from the PS Office during the meeting. We are hoping this will carry some weight and we can find an alternative way to move forward.
