Today, the family from BN005 visited one of our project sites to enquire about the timeline for their toilet construction. Their visit came as a surprise, as we had not heard from them since mid-January, when they informed us that they had received building approval and had begun digging the toilet pit and foundation.
Following that update, we advised them to contact us once the weather improved, as ongoing inclement conditions made it unsuitable to continue construction at the time. However, we did not receive any further communication for the next 4.5 months, which led us to believe that they had decided not to proceed with the project.
During this period, we redirected our resources and successfully completed toilet facilities for two other deserving families.
In today's conversation, the BN005 family shared that the digging had been completed and they were ready to move forward, but there had been a misunderstanding—they had expected us to follow up with them, not realizing that we were waiting for their confirmation to proceed.
We clarified the situation and will now re-evaluate the next steps based on this renewed communication, keeping in mind fairness and the availability of resources.
